Ended up getting the “Burrito Jalisco” deep fried burrito and the “La mi patria” which has three types of enchiladas. Yum! Finished off with deep fried ice cream. ”

“ Let me start by saying how surprised I was to see an authentic Mexican restaurant in a place like Sylvan Beach! The atmosphere is very cool inside with Mexican music playing an overall cool vibe. You get served fresh warm tortillas with the best salsa I've ever had, you can taste the freshness in every bite. For those that may be sensitive to heat I'd say unless you have an extremely low tolerance than no worries here, the salsa had just a pleasant heat to it that builds the more you eat but never to a level that's unpleasant. I had shrimp tacos with a side of beans and rice. The beans were fantastic as was the rice, I loved how simple everything was yet so delicious. The shrimp in my taco was very fresh, cooked perfectly. They were tender and well seasoned, the sauce for my taco brought the whole thing together perfectly. My wife had the chicken fajitas, they came out on a sizzling cast iron skillet. The chicken was cooked perfectly, it was tender, juicy and delicious! The peppers and onions were perfectly caramelized. Now you may be asking why not give 5 stars? The only reason I cannot give 5 stars is because you only get 2 tiny tortillas with your fajitas, you can see in my pic how much you get with this meal. What are you doing with 2 small tortillas? Of course we asked for more twice because you can make at least 5 fajitas out of this. It made me feel like I was in TGI Fridays, in the future I hope they start you out with at least 4 shells. The service was fantastic, the waiter was very nice and very attentive even though we were the only people in the restaurant Lol. I hope this place does well, I highly recommend it and will definitely be returning! ”

“ So this is classic north of the border Texas Mexican place. Very authentic even in very minor details. The service is great and CV the food was delivered very quickly. So the food, somewhat bland. The salsa has no flavor. The queso fundido was very good. The chilliquilles were ok but once again very bland. The pollo was also very good but lacked simple Mexican flavor that should pop in your mouth. The Spanish rice was also in need of the flavor doctor. Service as I said was great. ”

The food was very authentic, the atmosphere was great and the prices are very reasonable for home cooked food. The service was spectacular and my waiter Pedro was so kind and accommodating! I highly recommend this place and can’t wait to come back! ”

“ Food is so good, prices are nice and you get good amount of food. Place has a happy atmosphere, bar is well stocked, and everything is so clean and well kept. Servers are always nice, prompt and helpful. Been here twice, now my go to for real Mexican. ”
